Outdoor adventure isn't really a gym class. It focuses more on team building and playing games, something not done in the other classes. The class is very easy and laid back, not doing any sports. It's okay.
I would definitely describe outdoor as very nontraditional. We focus a lot on team building, and name games. It's more about building trust within yourself and with your classmates rather than athletic abilities.
Outdoor adventure isn't your typical gym class. It integrates more team building based activities, which also include ice-breakers. This class is all about building relationships with people in your class, and really getting to know and trust the people. The class really pushes people to be honest and expressive.
Outdoor adventure is like two gym classes in one; weights and leadership. we do bonding activities and we work out occasionally. but its almost like a recess for high schoolers because we get to still play games, except now it counts of a game.
Outdoor adventure is not like a normal gym class where you play soccer and volleyball. Instead, we do a lot of team building activities. We also do a lot of name games because it is every important to know everyone's name in your class. Every game or activity we have done has had a lesson tied into it. Overall, I really like outdoor adventure so far!
While Outdoor Adventure hails a fair amount of fitness exercise, there is a lot of team-building work and fun games involved as well. Unlike most gym classes, some things done here are fun.
I would have to say that this isn't a "normal" gym class. we spend more time getting to know each other & team effort. It's better than regular gym classes because you can actually get to know everyone in your class instead of just playing games with strangers. Makes you really think twice about the people you interact with. (:
Outdoor Adventure is mainly a climbing class. We haven't reached that stage yet because we're doing team building exercises though. It's pretty fun since it's so laid back and I'm looking forward to climbing and the other activities to come.
Outdoor adventure is definitely not your typical gym class. It is much more fun and laid back than your ordinary gym class. It focuses alot on team building. You get to know eachother and yourself. You learn alot about trust too.
Outdoor adventure is different than any other gym class I have taken so far. You don't focus on playing sports and other extremely physical activities. You focus more on team building and getting to know the people in your class. I really enjoy it so far.
Outdoor Adventure is a gym class for someone who doesn't really wanna do the normal working out or playing sports during class. It is more about team building activities and stuff that makes you think. Also climbing and things like that.
One of my close friends was in outdoor adventure. I would sneak out of my weights class with Hanson to go to outdoor adventure and Motz would let me climb with them. It's definatly a team building class, not even gym. Some of the things you do in the class is absolutly...childish? but if everyone is doing it, it makes it fun. It's not your normal gym class honeslty. If that's what you're looking for, then get out of this class. (:
Outdoor adventure is a class that brings everyone together in fun and different ways. You focus mainly on team building activities. It’s a class where you can make a goof out of yourself and still feel comfortable.
Outdoor adventure is very different from a typical gym class. We do not do typical physical activities. Instead, we do many kinds of activities that require us to communicate each other. Such activities help us to build team work in the class. We also have fitness days twice a week.
Outdoor adventure isnt your typical gym class. where tradional gym classes are based on learning the basics of various sports, outdoor adventure is based on teambuilding and developing friendships with your classmates
Adventure class isn't like any other gym class that I've taken. It teaches how to work as a team and it helps each other gain valuable skills that we may not acquire in other gym classes. Through team-building activities, we get a sense of togetherness in the class. Also, the class is laid back and very relaxed. This allows people to have lots of fun throughout the year (hopefully).
Outdoor adventure is much different than a gym class. Instead of focusing on working out or engaging in physical activity first, there's a first priority of getting to know eachother. Therefore the class is less awkward between people you didn't know before. Before actually repelling or anything, we get to know the class. Teambuilding is very important but we also get fitness days too. Its a good combination.
outdoor adventure stands out from all other gym classes. so far we have been doing team building activities to try and bond with eachother. at times you may have to get out of your comfort zone.
Outdoor adventure is really different than any other gym class that ive taken. so far weve focused on alot of team building, which i think is kinda cool because it gives us all a chance to get to know eachother alittle bit better. im really excited to start climbing and repelling too.
If you don't like getting out of your comfort zone, this class isn't for you. Outdoor Adventure is not a class designed to increase the number of push ups you can do in a minute or lengthen how long you can hang from a pull up bar. This class is about cooperating with a group and developing problem solving skills. The silly activities we do are not just for fun, they have a meaning behind them. Each activity relates to a real life situation and will help us better ourselves for the future. Another aspect of this class includes bonding with your peers. Besides the staple name games we do, we will learn things about each other and may discover we actually have more things in common than we thought.
This class is more than just gym class it really is an adventure, an adventure of the mind body and soul. It pushes you to try harder and just be a better version of your self. In doing so you become more happy and get to know a good group of people. One some days we do fitness which is based on pushing our selves to our limit it is a rewarding feeling afterwards once you accomplish said task because you have proven yourself worthy of the class. On activity days you are challenging your self to work with others something our generation lacks. Thank you technology! By learning how to work with a group you develope vital skills needed post graduation. It is a fun yet challenging class it is no walk in the park but totally worth taking. :) Kaity
This class teaches me to follow simple instructions even when the goals seem boring and irrelevant. It has already built up enthusiasm for things that i'd otherwise neglect. From what i've gathered, we.re going to do alot of fun physical things that'll challenge our bodies and brains. It's certainly enjoyable at the end of the day even when we exercise!
I feel that outdoor adventure is a team builder for people that are afraid to trust or be around people. you really need to trust and like the people around you to get by in the class. there are less athletic things that we do so you don't really need much skill either so i think its pretty cool. -Chris Kukla-

I think that it is like play time. It doesn't have any sports like soccer but I think it is ok.

I could'nt call this a "gym" class beacuse we bearly do anything. We mostly interact with people and get to know eachother and i like that very much.
It's better than normal gym classes because when you see them in hall way you actually know them. and it makes the world seem like a smaller place. (:

Outdoor adventure is much more fun than a normal gym class but also requires much more commitment and a much better attitude than normal gym classes.
